| our cars are nearing 25 years old now if you have a 1990s Z32. Between 1990-1996 ballpark brandnew probably is somewhere a 45-55k USD average. As the years pass the car is getting cheaper and cheaper but now I would guess looking at the market all the time you could probably find a really nice Z low km TT 5Sp that a Z32 enthusiast will fork out would be about ~13k. Over the past say 4-5 years id say this number hasn't changed significantly... Furthermore, the NA price i've seen drop quite a bit. This could be in due part of its cheaper to start with and a lot of younger drivers pick this car too... Also in Canada the JDM RHD Z32s have been available for quite sometime now and have increased the number of Zs. My guess based on is that the last 5 years the usdm version (in canada at least) price has stabilized instead of going down in trend because the more jdm ones entering the market made more of a demand for the LHD TT models. JDM ones are usually also bought by more of the younger drivers as they are cheaper as well. Although, one might say having a "real fairlady" has some more street cred. My prediction is as long as there is an increase demand for LHD TTs induced by the jdm stuff coming in then the price will stabilize. So, for the US since the import date is that the car must be 20 years old (i think). So you will see this trend happen soon as well. In Canada it is 15 years (correct me if im wrong) so it happened here first. If you search for ads in Canada for a 300zx you often have to screen the search by adding LHD for example. But if this effect is true... how long will it last? and then will our cars go down in price again? Or will we pass the hump and the cars will increase in money where the Z will be a demand for it as a classic car? I know this is full of over generalizing and probably full of BS lol but it was interesting to think about for me.
